About The Authors

Katrin C. Rowan is a Professor of Skills at the University at Buffalo School of Law, where she teaches legal writing and other lawyering skills. She was previously a civil litigator and federal law clerk.

Nan L. Haynes is an emeritus University at Buffalo School of Law professor, who taught legal writing for 15 years. She is also a retired attorney who represented plaintiffs in civil rights and toxic torts claims and the author of Legal Writing Handbook for Clinical Students, published by eLangdell Press in 2023.
